HBIS signs a deal to supply raw steel to CIMC
HBIS group and China International Marine Containers (CIMC) group signed a strategic agreement to provide raw steel to CIMC in Shenzhen city, China. Through the deal, the two companies will better customised their steel products and raw material solution services.
Yunnan Tiangao to recommence SS production in 2020
Yunnan Tiangao to recommence stainless steel production in 2020, to aide Guanghen Tiancheng sustain its hot rolled coil mill operations. The raw material will be produced by Wolaidi Metal Material Company in Qujing City which has a 300,000mt/yr thermal annealing and pickling production line.
Rio Tinto to restart operations at Richard Bay Minerals
Minning major Rio Tinto plans to restart operations at its South African unit Richard Bay Minerals (RBM) in early January. Rio Tinto has started the process of resuming operations at RBM, according to local media. Plant had halted mining activities because of security concerns following community violence around the plant.
