Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works’ (MMK) thick-plate Mill 5000 produced 11,68,000mt of hot-rolled steel in 2019, the highest since its inception. The mill’s previous high was at 1,161,000mt in 2010. Its annual production capacity is 1.5mn mt.
