The weekly index for ADC 12 in Delhi settled flat at Rs112,000/mt ex works Delhi producer for the fifth consecutive week. Secondary alloy manufactures are yet to resume plant operations despite the Indian government relaxing a few restrictions in non-COVID-19 hotspots. Alloy manufacturers state it could take a few days for them to make suitable arrangement per the government mandates.
Downstream industries too remained shut till April 14, when the government permitted a few sectors to resume functioning at reduced level. Manufacturers are unable to any secure orders from downstream industries. Alloy makers thus continued to remain away from booking imported scrap.
The weekly Davis Indexes for ADC 12 and LM6 in Mumbai settled flat at Rs120,500/mt ex works and Rs146,000/mt ex works respectively, unchanged for the last five weeks.
