Hyderabad-based Radha TMT plans to double its production capacity and enter the export markets, according to Davis Index sources. The company aims to emerge as the largest steelmaker in South India by raising its daily steel production capacity from 550mt to 1,100mt, state sources.
With Russia imposing export taxes and China curbing steel production, Indian steelmakers are looking to fill in the void in the exports market. Radha TMT also plans to export billets first and could subsequently turn to sell rebars in overseas markets.
