Hungary’s industrial production rose by 4pc in Q1 2021 compared to the same quarter in 2020, according to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH).
Export sales increased by 6pc and domestic sales grew by 3.3pc on an annual basis during the quarter under review, KSH reported on Friday.
The country’s industrial production in March rose by 16.5pc compared to March 2020. Export sales in March grew by 21pc and domestic sales increased by 10.6pc compared to the same prior-year month.
Production of non-metallic mineral products and plastics together rose by 14.3pc while the manufacturing of base and fabricated metal products grew by 8.8pc in March on an annual basis.
KSH also reported that Hungary’s construction output dropped by 2pc in Q1 2021 compared to the same quarter last year while the construction volume in March increased by 4.3pc from the same month in 2020. Construction of buildings by 6.4pc in March on an annual basis.
