Chinese steelmaker Guangdong Jinshenglan has placed an order with Danieli for four electric-arc furnaces (EAFs) that will be installed at its steel complex in Yunfu City, China.
The company will use Danieli’s 150-t zero-bucket EAFs that include an endless charging system (ECS), which supplies pre-heated scrap to the furnace. The ECS conveyer provides efficient pre-heating and production flexibility for wide ranging steel scrap.
Danieli will also provide automated operation and control of the EAF to ensure constant output. The first EAF is slated for commission early next year.
According to media reports, Guangdong Jinshenglan intends to produce 8mn mt of steel at its EAF-enabled Yunfu steel complex.
