Grupo Renault’s sales increased by 18.7pc 1.42 million vehicles sold globally in H1 2021, compared to 1.19 million during the same period of 2020, the company reported in a statement from Jul 19.
The Renault brand was the best performing for the Group, with an increase of 18.5pc in sales to 901,466 compared to 760,479 units in H1 in 2020, despite pandemic restrictions.
Renault’s Dacia brand’s sales increased 24.5pc in the first half of this year to 262,814 units, compared to 211,020 during the same timeframe last year.
By country, the best market for Renault was France, where it sold 287,602 units, 24.7pc more than in the first half of last year. Russia followed with 270,285 units sold up 31pc. Germany’s sales climbed 5.7pc to 87,029, Italy climbed 8.5pc to 82,951 units and Brazil sold 69,465 units an increase of 6.9pc.
