Davis Index: Market Intelligence for the Global Metals and Recycled Materials Markets

Germany’s producer price index in October fell by 0.7pc from the same month in 2019 while it rose by 0.1pc from September, according to Federal Statistical Office of Germany (Destatis). 

 

The country’s intermediate goods prices were down by 2.9pc in October this year compared to October 2019 with prices of iron, steel and ferro alloys dropping by 5.8pc each. On the other hand, prices of secondary metal raw material rose by 11.6pc, Destatis reported. 

 

Germany’s capital goods prices were up by 0.9pc in October on an annual basis. Its non-durable consumer goods prices fell by 0.5pc in October while its durable consumer goods prices increased 1.4pc from the same month last year
