Germany’s new orders in the manufacturing sector increased by 24.4pc in July compared to the same month last year and rose by 3.4pc from the previous month, according to the country’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
Its new manufacturing orders in July climbed 26.5pc from the same month last year and rose by 4.6pc from June this year.
The country’s domestic orders rose by 2.5pc in July and foreign orders increased by 8pc on a monthly basis. Under this, new orders from the Euro area dropped by 4.1pc but were offset by a 15.7pc growth from other countries in July compared to the previous month.
New orders in the manufacturing of intermediate goods declined by 0.5pc in July from the previous month while capital goods orders increased by 5.4pc in the same timeframe. New orders for consumer goods climbed by 7.5pc in July from the prior month.
