Germany’s total price-adjusted inventory of manufacturing orders rose by 0.3pc in December last year from the previous month, according to the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).
The stock of domestic orders increased by 0.1pc while foreign orders rose by 0.3pc in December 2020 compared to the previous month, Destatis reported.
Unfilled orders of intermediate goods were up 2.6pc and those for consumer goods increased by 3.3pc in December compared to November 2020. However, the inventory of capital good in December declined by 0.4pc from the previous month.
