The weekly Davis Index for HMS 1&2 (75:25) in the ARAG region increased by €6/mt ($7/mt) to €241/mt delivered dockside on Tuesday after the most recent sales to Turkey raised prices.
Collection prices for ferrous scrap rose in the Netherlands and Belgium as suppliers achieved higher prices in sales to Turkey due to solid demand, which was driven by active steel product sales. Some deals were closed at $325-327/mt cfr Turkey for European-origin HMS 1&2 (75:25) last week, as reported by Davis Index earlier.
European ferrous scrap exporters remain bullish this week and started targeting $335/mt cfr Turkey for HMS 1&2 (75:25) and $340/mt cfr for HMS 1&2 (80:20).
The weekly Davis Indexes for HMS 1 and bonus scrap in the ARAG region both increased by €6/mt ($7/mt) to €251/mt delivered dockside and €256/mt delivered, respectively, on Tuesday.
