Canada-based Ero Copper has forecast 2020 annual copper production at 41,000-43,000/mt from its Curaçá Valley property located in Brazil. Ero Copper produced 42,318mt copper from concentrates in 2019, up by 39pc, from 30,426mt production in the prior year.

 

In 2020, Ero is executing mill improvement plans, including the completion of the HIG Mill installation and commissioning of installed ore sorting plant. The company expects mill head-grades of greater than 2.00pc copper with a cash costs of below US$1.00 per pound of copper produced. 

 

Ero copper produced 42,318mt of copper grading 1.93pc from approximately 2.4mn mt of ore in 2019 with an average metallurgical recoveries of 90.5pc. 

 

For 2020, copper production at the Pilar Mine at Curaçá Valley is expected to contribute a total of approximately 1.4mn mt, grading 1.40pc copper, while production from the Vermelhos mine is forecast at 750,000mt, grading 3.50pc copper, resulting in a blended mill head grade of approximately 2.15pc copper.
