Canada-based Atico Mining Corporation’s El Roble copper-gold mine produced 5.55mn lbs of copper in Q3 FY20, down by 3pc from 5.7mn lbs in the prior-year period, the company said in its Q3 results.
The mine’s total ore extraction in Q3 FY20 fell by 3pc to 71,993mt, while the mill processed 73,603mt of ore, down by 4pc from the prior-year period.
The company’s copper and gold concentrate output in Q3 declined by 2pc to 11,956dmt from the same period year prior.
Its Q3 production results were mostly in line with its FY20 objectives even though the mine continued to operate under strict preventative measures and health policies. It added that it is on track to deliver on set guidance in the last few months of the year.
The company had declared its copper output guidance for FY20 between 20-21mn lbs.
The El Roble mine is a high grade, underground copper and gold mine located in the Department of Choco in Colombia and has a nominal processing plant capacity of 1,000mt per day. It also produces copper-gold concentrate.
