Japan’s Dowa Holding plans to increase its copper and lead production in the first half of 2020, while its zinc production will remain at around the same levels as H1 2019. 

 

The company, which shared its production outlook on Monday plans to produce 31,978mt of copper in H1 2020, which will end on September 30, 2020, slightly more than H1 2019’s output of 28,759mt. However its H1 2020 copper output will be slightly below its H2 2019 porduction of 31,318mt. 

 

Dowa will produce close to 5,241mt of lead in H1 2020, an increase from 5,207mt produced during the same period last yera, but lower than 5,428mt produced in H2 2019. Zinc production in H1 2020 is expected to be almost on par with the corresponding period last year, at 76,528mt. However it will be much lower compared to 85,060mt produced in H2 2019, the Japanese miner indicated.
