Aluminum scrap exports from Cyprus could fall by 654mt in 2020 compared with last year, according to the EU Commission’s data on the country’s economy.

 

The country’s aluminum scrap exports set a record of 9,131mt in 2018 before dipping to 7,840mt in 2019. Exports are expected to fall further to 7,186mt by the end of 2020, although revenue from these shipments is likely to increase to $12.26mn during the year from $10.93mn in 2019.

 

The island country ships its aluminum scrap to Greece, Hong Kong, India, Albania, Netherlands, Lithuania, Romania, and Spain, according to media reports.
