Australia-based Corazon Mining identifies new nickel-copper sulphide target at Lynn Lake Project area in Canada while Australia-based company, Azure hits new nickel-copper sulphides at its first try at Andover, in Western Australia.


Early results at Lynn Lake through a new geophysical technique MobileMT indicates suitability for exploring for massive sulphides deposits. The new process surpasses any of the previous geophysical techniques utilised at the project.


Nickel mining is of huge importance to companies with a recent increase in demand and value of both nickel and cobalt metals. Their escalating demand driven by global electric vehicle production is supporting nickel prices lately.


Azure’s drilling hit a massive nickel-sulphide mineralization at Andover after its first drill hole which is a good start for the company’s maiden drilling program at the site. Azure has 60pc stake in the Andover nickel-copper project and 40pc is held by Creasy Group. The mine is located in the West Pilbara region of Western Australia.


Azure kicked-off its maiden exploration program at Andover in August, while drilling started on Oct 2. The multi-phase exploration program comprises of geophysical surveys and drilling. The company announced that significant nickel and copper sulphide mineralisation was observed in the core from its first drill hole on the Andover project.
