Canada’s Copper Mountain Mining has appointed Don Strickland as executive vice president, Sustainability, and Eric Dell as senior vice president, Operations effective Jul 1.

 

Strickland was the company’s chief operating officer, while Dell had been general manager. 

 

Gil Clausen, president, and chief executive noted in a statement on Friday that Strickland will focus on achieving Copper Mountain’s sustainability objectives. Dell, on the other hand, will aim at business growth at the Copper Mountain mine in British Columbia, Canada, and Eva Copper Project, Queensland, Australia in the next five years.

 

The Copper Mountain mine currently produces 100mn lbs (45,359mt) of copper equivalent a year, but management expects to increase output to 140mn lbs (63,502mt) per year.
