Colombia’s iron ore and steel exports fell by 33.4pc to 16,068mt in August from 24,129mt a year earlier.
The iron ore and steel exports by value fell by 44.4pc to $45,700 from $82,148 during the period under comparison, according to figures released by Colombia’s National Administrative Department of Statistics (Dane).
Copper exports declined by 37.7pc to 1,840mt from 2,954mt in August 2019, while their value decreased by 32pc to $9,598 from $14,117.
Aluminum shipments also fell by 13.7pc to 5,300mt in August from 6,141mt in August 2019, and their value dropped by 7.2pc to $24,343 from $26,222 during the same period, Dane reported.
Exports of ferronickel fell by 35.1pc to 12,413mt in from 19,135mt a year earlier, and the value of the exports plunged by 41.4pc at $41,105 from $70,158.
Colombia’s steel output dropped annually by 4.3pc to 110,000mt in August from 115,000mt.
