Chinese auto manufacturer Chongqing Changan Automobile Co Ltd’s (Changan) total sales in January 2021 stood at 251,980 units, up by 87.24pc as compared to 134,578 units sold during the same month in 2020, the company said in its monthly report.
In January, the company recorded growth in sales for the tenth consecutive month.
The company said that all brands under the company witnessed a growth in sales in the first month of 2021.
The sales of Changan’s self-owned brands grew by 93.2pc to 200,737 units, of which, passenger vehicle (PV) sales rose by 92.5pc to 153,424 units.
Chongqing Changan was the top-selling brand, witnessing a growth of 102.24pc while Hebei Changan, Hefei Changan, and Changan Ford recorded growth of over 75pc.

Exports
The company’s auto exports in January rose by 15pc to 8,249 units as compared to the same month in the preceding year.
The company said that its annual revenue in 2021 is forecasted to be between $433.356mn and $619.08mn, growing by 205.79pc to 251.13pc from the prior year.
