China’s excavator sales dropped by 6.19pc in June from a year ago, while loader sales decreased by 8.13pc, according to data from China Construction Machinery Industry Association. Despite the dip in sales, China’s construction machinery exports in June rose compared to the prior year.
In June, sales of excavators fell to 23,100 units from the prior year. Of the total sales, 16,965 units were sold in the domestic market, which is lower by 21.9pc from a year ago, while exports rose by 111pc to 6,135 units in June.
From January to June, a total of excavators sales increased to 223,833 units, up by 31.3% from the prior year period. Sales in the domestic market increased to 193,700 units, up 24.3pc, while exports rose by 107pc to 30,133 units.
Loader sales in June fell by 8.13pc to 12,160 units. Of which, domestic sales were 8,986 units, down by 22.1 from a year ago while exports rose 86.5pc to 3174 units.
In the January to June period, sales increased 26pc from a year ago to 84,992 units. Domestic sales volume rose by 19.4pc to 67,211 units, while exports increased by 59pc to 17,781 units.
