China has made adjustments to its import policy for recycled steel, cast aluminum alloys, copper and brass, raw materials subject to inspection from June 10, 2021, according to the Bureau of International Recycling (BIR).
The government of China has included the ten-digit codes listed below as eligible raw materials for the domestic metals industry, noted the BIR on Monday:
7204 10 00 10 ex GB/T
7204 21 00 10 ex GB/T
7204 29 00 10 ex GB/T
7204 41 00 10 ex GB/T
7204 49 00 30 ex GB/T
7404 00 00 20 ex GB/T
7404 00 00 30 ex GB/T
7602 00 00 20 ex GB/T
The Bureau has yet to assess the practical implications for the above inclusions and adjustment.
