China plans to produce 3.20mn mt of primary aluminium in July, up from 3.17mn mt produced in June, according to local media reports. The country plans to keep its daily output at 106,100mt, up from 105,900mt in June. In June, daily output decreased by 25,000mt compared to May. Yunnan, the smelting hub in China, has announced production curbs. It is unclear if the province will resume its scheduled production in July.
Aluminium rod production in June was 1.25mn mt, up by 2.32pc compared to June 2020. The average daily output in June was 38,400mt, stable from May.
Alumina production was at 6.22mn mt in June, up from 11.85pc from June last year.
