Canada’s Industrial Product Price Index (IPPI) declined by 0.6pc in November while its Raw Material Product Price Index (RMPI) rose by 0.6pc from the previous month, according to Statistics Canada (StatCan) data.
On an annual basis, the country’s IPPI increased because of a rise in primary non-ferrous metal prices by 21pc in November, StatCan reported.
Under the RMPI, the country’s metal ores, concentrate, and scrap prices declined by 1pc in November from the prior month. On an annual basis, Canada’s RMPI dropped by 1.7pc in November due to a significant decline in crude energy product prices, though the drop was offset by a rise in metal ores, concentrates, and scrap products by 27pc.
