Davis Index – Daily metal prices, scrap prices & global metal market

The Canada Border Service Agency (CBSA) has initiated a review to update the normal value and export prices pertinent to carbon steel fasteners exported from Separate Customs Territory of Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen and Matsu, said CBSA on Oct 13. The carbon steel screws/fasteners are designed for application in the automotive or aerospace industry.

The review comes after the Canadian International Trade Tribunal’s (CITT) issued an order on Sep 2, 2020 conforming with the dumping of fasteners exported from Taiwan.

Exporters that wish to participate in the re-investigation are required to provide an accurate response to the CBSA’s Request for Information (RFI) by Nov 19, 2020. Failing to do so would result in anti-dumping duties at the rate of 170pc of the export price.
