Byelorussian Steel Works’ (BSW) wire rod exports to countries in the European Union (EU) surged by 122pc to 181,437mt in the first nine months of 2020 compared to the same months last year.
In the January to September period, the Belarus based firm, produced close to 589,670mt of wire rods and shipped it globally across 23 countries worth $120mn, which is slightly more than what it shipped in 2019, it said in a statement.
In the EU alone, BSW shipped to 13 countries with the production accounting for more than a quarter of exported volumes.
