Byelorussian Steel Works exported 32,000t (29,029mt) of seamless pipes in the first quarter of this year, which represents a 132pc volume increase from the same period in 2020.
The export cost of seamless pipes reached around $25mn, which accounted for a 119pc growth from the same three-month period last year, the company stated.
Around 15,000t of pipes representing 45pc of the total export worth $10mn was shipped out to the EU countries in the January to March period. This was almost double the shipments by BSW last year to the EU. The largest consumers in the EU were Germany, Finland, Italy, Poland, and Romania.
The company shipped out around 15,000t of seamless pipes to the Russian Federation, representing about 42pc of its total exports worth $10mn in the first three months of the year. This shipment was up by 20pc from the same period last year, the company said in a statement.
Although the economic activity of the oil industry in the US has declined, the company accounted for a $3mn income from pipe sales in the US in the first quarter of this year.
