Boeing plans to focus on five key areas of business in 2021 – infrastructure footprint, overheads and organizational structure, portfolio and investment mix, supply chain health, and operational excellence.
Boeing said in its earnings report on Wednesday that these methods would help the aircraft maker to improve performance and transform its business to become more productive and competitive through the year.
Its commercial airplane deliveries dropped by 60pc in 2020 to 157 units compared to 380 units in 2019. In Q4 2020, its commercial airplane deliveries fell by 25pc to 59 units from 79 units in Q4 2019.
The aircraft manufacturer’s total revenue fell by 24pc to $58.1bn in 2020 compared to $76.5bn in 2019. In Q4 2020 its revenue was down by 15pc to $15.3bn from $17.9bn in Q4 2019.
