The Australian Anti-Dumping Commission (ADC) has extended its deadline for reporting on allegations of dumping and subsidization of tube steel and precision pipe imports from Vietnam, China, Taiwan, and the Republic of Korea for a fifth time, according to reports. The report is expected to be released before August 27.

The commission issued a preliminary report on the probe on June 1. This report suggested the absence of sufficient grounds for publishing a dumping duty notice and a countervailing duty notice on the export of precision pipes and tubes from Vietnam.

The body found no interference by Vietnam influencing the regular prices of the products.

The total export turnover of precision steel pipes from Vietnam to Australia was over $15mn in 2019, according to the General Department of Vietnam Customs.
