Argentina’s crude steel production rose slightly by 0.1pc to 382,200mt on an annual basis in October, from 381,800mt in the same month last year, due to higher demand from the construction and durable goods industries.
The Argentine Chamber of Steel also noted that cold-rolled coil production was up by 25.4pc to 140,700mt in October from 112,200mt in October 2019. During the same period hot-rolled coil volumes declined by 1.7pc to 392,500mt from 399,500mt.
The country’s iron ore output was 4.9pc lower than last October, standing at 259,700mt, compared with 273,200mt.
