Stainless and specialty steel producer Aperam’s total shipments grew to 974,000t (883,598mt) in H1 2021 compared to 814,000t in H1 2020. 

 

Its total Q2 2021 steel shipments rose to 481,000t compared with 376,000t in Q2 2021 while they dropped from 493,000t in Q1 2021. 

 

Stainless and electrical steel shipments in H1 2021 were 955,000t compared to 790,000t in H1 2020 while Q2 2021 shipments rose to 472,000t from 364,000t in Q2 2020 and fell from 483,000t in Q1 2021. 

 

Specialty alloys shipments in the first half of the year were 15,000t compared to 18,000t in H1 2020 and dropped to 8,000t in Q2 2021 compared to 9,000t in Q2 2020 and rose from 7,000t in Q1 2021. 

 

The Luxembourg-based company’s total sales in H1 2021 were €2.4bn ($2.8bn) compared to €1.8bn in the same half last year. Its sales in Q2 2021 were €1.2bn compared to €818mn in Q2 2020 and rose from €1.1bn in Q1 2021. 

 

The firm’s adjusted EBITDA in H1 2021 was €437mn compared to €119mn in H1 2020. Adjusted EBITDA in Q2 2021was €262mn compared to €49mn in Q2 2020 and rose from €175mn in Q1 2021.
