Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited(RINL) and South Korean Posco jointly proposed to set up a second steel plant near Vizag in Andhra Pradesh. POSCO  sought 3,000 acres of land for the plant  with an estimated investment of Rs200bn, according to a government source from Andhra Pradesh.

 

AP State Government requested the Ministry of Steel to make changes in the proposal which would benefit the state exchequer, the source confirmed. 

 

Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited and South Korean POSCO  jointly proposed to set up a second steel plant to manufacture auto grade steel in Vizag. The land is likely to be made available on the outskirts of Vizag.
