Azerbaijan based gold-copper miner, Anglo Asian Mining reported a surge in both copper metal and concentrate production in Q3 as well as in January-September 2020.
In the first nine months of this year, the company mined 9,431mt of concentrate, up 12.8pc from 8,355mt in the prior-year period. Metal production increased by 28pc to 1,894mt from 1,478mt in the same period.
In the third quarter of 2020, copper concentrate output stood at 3,266mt, up by 10.8pc from 2,947mt in Q3 2019. Metal volumes also rose by 32pc to 688mt from 520mt in the same period under comparison. Notably, 2,084mt of copper concentrate sold in Q3 2020 and 2,255mt sold in the same quarter last year, brought in the same amount – $3.4mn – reflecting the increase in copper prices over the 12-month period.
