AESW is installing two energy-saving cantilever stands (ESS) at Abinsk production plan in Krasnodar, Russia. The new machinery will be commissioned by mid-2022.
The new stands allow for time savings in set up changes for rebar 8-25mm in diameter along with increasing the rolling tolerances and improving mill utilization. The new ESS stands will replace stands No 15 and No 16 for the rebar mill which processes third-party sourced rebar.
Danieli, which installed stands in wire rod rolling mill No 2, will be installing the new ESS system.
